ICE!!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Gaylord Texan to see the amazing Ice exhibit.
They kept the exhibit at 8 degrees...at least that is what I heard someone say while we were inside.

We had so much fun...this is a great place for children and for kids at heart.

This years theme was Who-ville from How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

The pictures don't do it it justice. I found it literally breath taking.
There was about 10 or so rooms full of uniquely carved statues.

Such great eye candy!!!!

They even had a room with two ICE slides.

Towards the end they had this awesome Nativity Scene.

Don't do it!!!!

There were Christmas trees everywhere!!!

These were real Gingerbread Men.
We had so much fun going to the Gaylord ICE exhibit.
I want to make it a yearly tradition.

Don't you hate it when things break???

So, our disposal broke and when I say broke I mean it was nasty.
FYI- what you are about to see is beyond gross, just a warning!!!!!!

Cory and his Dad taking out the old nasty disposal.

Yes, they used the directions. They also had help from two furry animals.

Ta-da!!!!
The new wonderful, quiet disposal with twice the power as the old nasty one.

Isn't she beautiful?
It must be a sign that I'm getting old because I got excited about a new disposal.
What will excite me next???
A new faucet....

Good bye

Fall......

Hello Christmas!!!

This year we decided to not have a traditional tree. I borrowed all these ornaments from my sister, she has a different theme every year and I liked this one.
Since this picture, I have added the tree skirt so it looks much better but at least you get the idea.

Random

So here are some random things that have happened in the Carr house this last week.

Last night this was my yummy dinner. Try to get your mouth around this sucker!!!
The boys grilled burgers and I decided to grill some turkey lunch meat and then melt cheese on it. I also added grilled bacon and avocado to a toasted bun. It was divine.
Cory hung my Embellishment Center and I organized it. We are making progress one step at a time. We still have a few things to go.
This is the project I am working on now.
I got the idea from....huckleberryprairie.com
I love that I have my own girly craft room that I can go to when I need an escape from school work.

P.S. Cory's birthday is on Wednesday...so I will post some pictures of that, we will be celebrating it on Saturday the 17th .

Its that time of year again

I love decorating for the fall. I think it is my favorite Holiday to decorate for. The other day, I got my tubs of fall decorations out of the attack. It took me a few days to put everything out because I was busy doing school work(story of my life). I am pleased with how it all turned out. Here is a small peek of what I did....

This is the Topiary Tree I made. I think its so cute.

I just love Fall!!!!!

Not much new here.....

There is not much new going on around here. I have been in school for 3 weeks now, and so far this is the hardest semester yet. Out of 5 classes only one teacher is "good" or what I consider good. The rest should find new jobs. Its ridiculous but I have no choice other than deal with rude obnoxious teachers that don't seem to care much about their students or job.

Cory is still busy working all the TIME. Not much new there either....

This Saturday is my 10 year high school reunion. At this moment, I'm not overly excited perhaps I will feel different Saturday. We will see....

I have been working on a real cool Halloween craft project I got the idea from a blog I follow. I found the idea here: http://www.huckleberryprairie.com/ under the Homestead tab. They are Topiary Rag Trees, I changed the fabrics to Halloween prints. I can't wait till they are done. I will post a picture when I am done but for now this should give you an idea of what they will look like.
