January

is almost over, I can't believe it. We have had a busy month: work, school, birthdays, still dealing with car drama and so on and so on....

I started school on Tuesday....I planed on taking 15 hours until I went to one of my required Science Education classes and the teacher said 80% of you will fail and did not hesitate to say that she recognized many faces. I was one of the brave ones that sat through the whole class, about 12 people walked out in the first 10 minutes. So...needless to say I dropped that class and will hopefully will find a better teacher in the fall. I might be crazy but she has no place being a teacher...especially teaching soon to be teachers. I am super happy with all my other teachers they are all very sweet and encouraging. The way it should be.

I celebrated my 29th birthday on the 20th...yippee. We went to the magic time machine with Cory's parents, Julie and Brad, my Dad and James. We had fun and ate a lot of yummy food. We took pictures but not with our camera so I will have to get them so I can post them.

The car drama...it has almost been 4 months since my car accident and I still don't have it back. I am over the situation and want it to end soon but I have learned that car people are not in a hurry. Most of them could care less about your situation. Word to the wise...never get in a car accident.

Cory and his Dad built some more shelving in our pantry/laundry room last week. We need more storage space because our junk keeps growing. Isn't that the case in most families. I will put some pictures up as soon as I finish painting.

Tootle-loooo for now...

Finally...

I figured it out!!!!

I'm Over It!!!!

I have tried over and over to put a new layout up but for some reason Blogger hates me!!! I have had enough!! So our blog will have to just be ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Less than a week left!!!!

Are you done with all your shopping yet.....I am working at the mall for Christmas while I am out of school. It amazes me how many people shop last minute and get annoyed when we are out of what they want. I just smile and say, "It has been busy or It's getting close to Christmas or Remember to try to come earlier next year". I am so glad I am done with my shopping. I only had to buy one person a present....my Secret Santa:)

Bathroom Re-model

We started yet another house project. For those of you that have never been to our house before I had painted our powder bathroom baby blue and the trim black. I got the idea from a catalog but with different colors. After 3 1/2 year I was tired of the colors and wanted to change it. BuTTT the oil based black paint that was on the base boards was impossible to get off so we riped them out and bought new ones. The new base boards are much wider and have better detail than the what was in there before. This time I wanted the color to be dramatic....so we painted the walls Boat Blue(dark blue almost navy but a bit lighter). I love it!!! We got a bright white cabinet from Pottery Barn to put above the toilet for storage since there was nothing in there before. The dark blue and white look great together. We spray painted all the base boards outside with this special paint machine that my Dad had but there was still a small area that was connected to the inside of the door that needed to be painted. We had to make a tunnel with the plastic cloth so that the white spray dots did not get on the fresh blue paint. Here are some pictures of what we did:

Taping off all the walls and floor
still taping...

about to start painting..

High on paint fumes...

My Dad did the dirty work..

Clean up time
We still arn't done but atleast were close and thats all that matters.

Trick or Treat

For Halloween our neighbor Samantha came over to pass out candy with us because her husband was at a football game. She brought over these hilarious costumes. We laughed so hard our stomachs ached. I had not had that much fun in forever; the neighbor across the street came out to see why we were laughing so loud...ooops. I hope you get a good laugh out of our silly pictures.
Here I am in the 1st costume...we decided the other one is funnier

Here is Samantha in the clown costume

Car Accident

Thursday, October 2 at about 8:43am I was in a car accident on Main St in Frisco. A lady in a mini-van hit me. It was one of those moments when you know what is about to happen and you only have a second to brace yourself. I was breaking and she was gassing trying to pass me so my car got most of the damage. Seriously I don't understand why people aren't a little more careful when they drive. So long story short, the lady that hit me was found liable, I went to the hospital in an ambulance and was diagnosed with a neck and back sprain. The following Tuesday I went to my regular doctor because I had a bad headache and had been nauseous since the accident. She said I had a concussion. Dealing with school, my body aches, the lady's insurance, and the body shop was extremely hard. Being in a serious accident is physically and emotionally draining. I missed about a week of school and several days of work.
I have taken my car back twice and been in three rental cars. My car is in the shop as we speak and hopefully this will be the last time.
Here are some pictures of my car:
PS. A very nice lady stopped and gave me a disposable camera she caries just in case this happens. Cory took the pictures as I was being put in the ambulance.

This was her car:

Yipeeee!!!

I'm done with school for a month or so...I start again January 20th. I have some free time so why not BLOG.

October

October has been a crazy month.....I was in a real bad car accident and got to ride in an ambulance for the first time. We flew to Lubbock for the 2nd annual LCU Alumni Baseball game and met Cory's parents there on a Friday and drove back with them on a Sunday. I missed about a week of school because of my car accident so catching up has been extremely hard especially because I am taking an express math class. I would not of been able to do it if it weren't for the help and patience of Cory's dad. I compleated the first part of the math class on Friday and started the second part yesterday and I am already confused. Somehow we managed to squeeze in a trip to the State Fair. Hopefully, I will have some free time soon so I can post some pictures of my car accident and our trip to Lubbock and the State Fair.
