Getting Closer

I'm super excited about the progress we have made in my craft room. We are so close to being done. All that is left is some painting and installation of some shelving, storage things, two legs that will hold up the desk extension that goes around the corner and hanging the molding around the ceiling.

Cory installing the desk

Here is a picture off part one of the desk installed...
I plan on making a curtain to put up in the door way to section it off

Here is part two of the desk being installed

There is a hinge on the extension so when I don't need the extra desk space I can put it down for more walking room

Here is the cute lamp I got a Pottery Barn kids...Cory's discount is so great how could I pass on this awesome lamp
The purple tags are marking the spots where shelving and storage will be

Lamp close-up..I haven't taken the plastic off yet because I wanted to make sure the colors went okay
I can't wait until I can bring all my stuff in here and get it all organized and clean. Hopefully, I will be able to do that soon before school gets crazy.

Craft Room

We have made progress on my scrapbook/craft room(the goal is to get it done by Monday b/c I start school). There is now electricity in there....whoo-hoo!!! I am going to get some cute white lamps to put in there for extra lighting. Tonight, hopefully, we will be installing the desk so stay tuned for those pictures.

Here is the new outlet.

Installing the brackets for the desk.

The desk will go around the corner and be supported by two legs(you can kinda see them on the floor).

Officially Done...

With Summer School that is. I made it through....my classes were rough but I survived. I have a little over a week before I start school again. I am taking this time to deep clean my house and finish all the projects that have been on hold since the beginning of the summer. Yesterday, I spent several hours steam cleaning the carpets in all the bedrooms upstairs along with the hall way. Today, I think I'll clean all the bathrooms and scrub the base boards downstairs. I might be crazy but in a sick way I found cleaning very enjoyable. I have a long "to do" list so I better get cracking.

PS. I had some free time to give the blog a makeover......I hope everyone likes it. I learned some new tricks in my computer programing class so I put them to use.

PSS. Here are some pictures of my special project that we have been working on....forever. Tonight, my Dad is coming over to put electricity in my new room.

Update

Its been awhile since our last update......we both have been very busy. I finished Summer I classes on Thursday and start Summer II classes tomorrow. I am taking a Social Studies class and the teacher requires us to memorize the glossary so I have spent this weekend making flashcards. Let's just say I am not looking forward to this class!!!!!

Cory has been busy with Tollway stuff. There are so many projects going on right now....he usually gets home late. He is the big man in charge of his team now...about a month ago he got a promotion. He has worked so hard and I am very proud of him.

I have some good news!!! On Friday, I was able to get a new iPhone. I am very excited!!! I love it so far and can't find anything I don't like about it.

I got a pink cover for it, the screen cover protector things, headphones, and some other cool stuff with it. I know it will come in handy with school, when I need direction, when I'm bored, when I have a question about something, when I want to listen to the radio or some music....the list is endless. As we speak Cory is playing a game and can't put the phone down :+}
